Just a quick update to let folks know where I am at on this project....

Here are all of the earlier postings related to this project in order from first posting at the top, to most recent at the bottom. Note this research initially pre-dates all the later "Gamergate" events.

Finally finished data entry verification for the Research on Gender Bias in the Gaming Industry & Community project. Now finally can begin the qualitative and quantitative analysis phases!

Status Update. People at Washington State University are now parsing the comments from the 2013 and 2015 surveys for qualitative data analysis. I am still intermittently parsing the quantitative data. Expect a significant update around December 2016 / January 2017!

Status Update: Well, time has slipped by too quickly. August 19 the IRB Waiver from WSU expires. I've been trying to get this project finished, but other projects, MDA, SpoCon, etc, and trying to train a gaggle of new (thank you!) volunteeers has daily diverted. I keep making some progress, but haven't been able to do the days/weeks long deep-dive I need to finally finish this. Now the expiration deadline is weeks away. And SpoCon is next week. I think most of the SpoCon needs are mostly finished, so I really need to, after this coming Saturday's monthly meeting, do a deep-dive over the weekend to see if I can get this research project wrapped up enough for submissions. At least if it is finished, asking for a little more time to find publication, will look better. I'm sure the sponsor, isn't too happy about my delays. Hopefully I can get this resolved ASAP. I will keep people posted here over the next few days/weeks. I can't share the actual results here (yet), but I can at least provide regular status updates. Cheers!
