Job Description


Take the lead of RPG Research's volunteer engagement strategy as a Director of Volunteer Services volunteer.


Develop strategic partnerships internally and externally that maximize access to and awareness of volunteer and engagement opportunities that relate to RPG Research's vision, mission, & impact goals.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES


    Lead the volunteer engagement strategy, including partnership cultivation and management, related to RPG Research.


    Develop a formal RPG Research volunteer programs around the world.


    Manage and grow the existing volunteer programs and partnerships.

    Serve as an advisor for Resource Development in advancing existing corporate partnerships through volunteer engagement by attending meetings, designing engagement plans, etc.


    Connect with universities degree requirements for intern and volunteer hours.


    Collaborate with internal RPG Research departments and programs to design volunteer engagement and education strategies for each department's needs.


    Lead the marketing strategy for volunteerism ensuring opportunities exist for all donor and non-donor segments.

    Lead continuous improvement of systems to ensure logistics for corporate and individual volunteer opportunities are successfully implemented.

    Manage the department budget.


    Supervise and provide strategic direction in areas noted below for the Manager, Volunteer Engagement and Coordinator, Volunteer Engagement


JOB QUALIFICATIONS


Preferred Education –


    Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Volunteer Management, Public Administration, or related field.


Required Experience –


    2 years of experience directing volunteer or community programs and proven leadership results in the non-profit field. Experience developing new programs.


Special Skills/Knowledge –


    Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with RPG Research donors, volunteers, agencies, and community representatives

    Proven experience collaborating with stakeholders of differing views and ability to maintain strong relationships and sense of vision within that context.

    Ability to set and achieve short and long-term goals individually and for a team

    High degree of personal responsibility, integrity and strong work ethic

    Demonstrated skills in the areas of administration, project management, and volunteer program development

    Ability to react quickly to change and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

    Works well under pressure and is flexible, creative, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable of the community and possess a high commitment to working to achieve RPG Research's Vision, Mission,. & Impact goals.


    Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including presentations, and public speaking

    Professionally supportive of organizational mission, policies, staff, etc.


Computer Skills -


    Advanced Libre Office or Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills


The 501(c)3 non-profit research and human services charitable organization RPG Research (http://www.rpgresearch.com ) has openings for a volunteer and training coordinator position.


This is a volunteer unpaid opportunity.


Reports To: CEO & Vice President.


Days/Hours: Part-time, 5-10 hours/week. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed for organization and community programs and events, and to work around your regular schedule.


Education and Experience:


    Experience working with volunteers.

    Experience in public speaking preferred.

    Volunteer database management.

    Onboarding processes.

    Working with non-profit organizations.

    Working with staff internationally in many different time zones.


Workplace Location(s): Prefer Spokane area, but working with clients across 4+ continents, up to 80% remote option available.


Position Summary: Primary responsibility is to develop, engage, coordinate, and support RPG Research's volunteering programs and tracking progress of each volunteer's related volunteer training.


Additionally you will coordinate presenters for staff trainings and working with community members who want to donate services, funds, products, or other resources helpful to our volunteers and volunteer training. The Coordinator may also conduct occasional internal staff training sessions.


Essential Job Functions:


    Coordinate and provide support for the organization’s volunteer program, including regular volunteers, one-time and group volunteers (particularly for RPG Research's community regular programs, fundraiser drives and special events), and donated services.

    Coordinate onboarding and training of volunteers and maintain volunteer records.

    Coordinate and schedule external staff training presenters and opportunities.

    Assist with other coordination, administrative, and scheduling tasks within the department as needed.

    Assist with department and organization events, initiatives, and presentations as needed.


Skills Required:


    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal communication and public speaking skills.

    Passionate and engaging.

    Proactive, energetic, self-motivated, solution-oriented team player.

    Outstanding organization and time-management skills.

    Proficient computer skills, especially Libreoffice or Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
